Job summary

Coventry Building Society is seeking a Finance Business Partner to help drive efficiency and value across the Group. You will support month-end activities, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting while delivering clear insights to stakeholders.

You’ll join a team-led hybrid setup with at least 2 days in Coventry and/or Manchester offices, and contribute to continuous improvement and investment analysis.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, consolidation and monthly reporting.
• Proven business partnering and stakeholder management with senior leaders.
• Demonstrable financial modelling and forecasting skills with attention to detail.

About the roleThe Finance Business Partner will support the Lead Finance Business Partner in driving efficiency and value across the Group, providing insight, challenge and support to stakeholders to ensure resources are used effectively. The role will be responsible for month-end activities, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting and analysis, identifying risks and opportunities, and supporting decision-making across the business.Supported by Finance Analysts, the role holder will also contribute to improving processes and controls, review business cases and investment proposals, and provide clear financial insight to both financial and non-financial stakeholders. Using your strong analytical skills, you’ll be able to translate complex financial and non-financial information into clear insight and recommendations, helping to drive effective decision-making and positive business outcomes.For this role you’ll need to have:Strong experience of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, consolidation and monthly reporting.Proven business partnering and stakeholder management experience, with the confidence to influence and challenge senior leaders.Demonstrable financial modelling, analysis and forecasting skills, with strong attention to detail.The ability to gather and interpret financial and non-financial data to drive commercial insight and decision-making.Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information to both financial and non-financial audiences.Advanced Excel skills, excellent organisational ability, and a track record of continuous improvement.Experience in these areas would be helpful:A recognised accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent), or be working towards qualification.Experience within a financial services organisation.Supporting investment budgets, project portfolios or change initiatives.Preparing and reviewing business cases, including ROI and benefits analysis.Delivering reporting improvements, automation or process enhancements.Experience with Workday Financials, Adaptive or similar planning tools.Full time - 35 HoursAbout usIn 2025, Coventry Building Society purchased The Co-operative Bank.
