Job summary

Michael Page is recruiting a commercially focused Finance Business Partner to provide financial insights and analysis to a fast-growing consumer business expanding UK footprint. You will work with senior leaders and operational teams to drive performance, support key business decisions and move beyond traditional reporting.

Qualifications

• Finalist or newly-qualified accountant with strong management accounting experience.
• Experience in management accounting, FP&A or a similar role in an SME or multi-site business.
• Experience in a fast-paced business environment.
• Experience supporting month-end reporting, including journals, accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations.

Responsibilities

• Weekly and monthly member sales and attrition reporting, identifying trends by site/region and cohort, providing insight to the operational teams.
• Develop and maintain commercial reporting and BI dashboards covering sales, attrition, pool utilisation & site performance.
• Support pricing decisions and price increases through modelling of revenue impact, customer behaviour, churn sensitivity and site-level performance.
• Monitor new and existing site performance against budgets, including member numbers, revenue, EBITDA and ROCE.
• Prepare commercial analysis and financial models to support business cases, new products, partnerships, secondary revenue opportunities and other strategic initiatives.
• Partner with Regional Managers and other internal stakeholders to understand performance drivers and identify opportunities to improve revenue, retention and profitability.
• Support the Head of Finance with annual budgeting and quarterly reforecasts.
• Support the Management Accountant with month-end, including balance sheet reconciliations, P&L review and variance analysis.
• Assist with the preparation of MI Packs & Board Reporting.
• Assist with year-end accounts, audit and tax.
• Assist with continuous improvement and automation of financial reporting, controls, systems and processes.

Description

• Weekly and monthly member sales and attrition reporting, identifying trends by site/region and cohort, providing insight to the operational teams.
• Develop and maintain commercial reporting and BI dashboards covering, sales, attrition, pool utilisation & site performance.

• Prepare commercial analysis and financial models to support business cases, new products, partnerships, secondary revenue opportunities and other strategic initiatives.
• Partnering with the Regional Managers and other internal stakeholders to understand performance drivers, challenge assumptions and identify opportunities to improve revenue, retention and profitability.
• Support the Head of Finance with annual budgeting and quarterly reforecasts.
• Support the Management Accountant with month-end, including balance sheet reconciliations (accruals, prepayments, dilapidation provisions, fixed assets), P&L review and variance analysis.

Profile

• Finalist or newly-qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent), with strong management accounting experience.
• Experience in management accounting, commercial finance, FP&A or a similar role, ideally within an SME or multi-site business.
• Experience in a fast-paced business environment.
• Experience supporting month-end reporting, including journals, accruals, prepayments, variance analysis and balance sheet reconciliations.
