Believ: ABOUT US

At Believ, formerly known as Liberty Charge, we believe sustainable transport should be accessible to everyone. We're a Charge Point Operator (CPO) on a mission to create the UK's most reliable electric vehicle charging network that doesn't cost the earth and leaves no one behind.

We work closely with local authorities and businesses to deliver reliable, high-quality charging networks at pace, at scale and at zero cost.

We offer all the advantages of being a scale-up business, but with the added security and long-term backing from well-known parents - Liberty Global (who also own our delivery partner, Virgin Media O2) and Zouk Capital (who manage the Government's Charging Investment Infrastructure Fund).

You'll be joining this exciting journey at the start of our scale-up phase, and work with us to hit the ambitious targets our shareholders have set. You'll become part of a passionate and supportive team in a fast-paced, dynamic and result-driven environment.

About The Role

The role reports to the Senior Finance Business Partner and works closely with the Head of Finance to support financial planning, analysis, and business partnering activities across Believ.

Key tasks
  • Support the annual budget, forecasting and long-range planning processes across all business functions including capital investment activities.
  • Support financial business partnering across the Build, Network Operations and Property teams, providing insight to help teams understand key cost drivers, optimise installation plans and inform strategies that improve overall business and financial performance.
  • Provide financial oversight of capital projects and development activities, monitoring spend, identifying risks and opportunities, and challenging existing processes to improve efficiency and strengthen capital investment controls.
  • Produce financial analysis, management reporting and performance insights to support decision-making across the business.
  • Assist with month-end reporting, management accounts preparation and variance analysis, ensuring information is accurate and delivered on a timely basis.
  • Assist with investment appraisals, business case development and scenario modelling for operational and strategic projects.
  • Contribute to investor reporting and due diligence activities through preparation of financial analysis and supporting materials.
  • Collaborate with Account Managers to manage post-signature contract obligations.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, reporting and data quality through automation and standardisation.
  • Build strong relationships across the organisation and become a trusted point of contact for financial support and guidance.

Operating within a rapidly evolving industry, you will also support the development of financial processes, reporting capabilities and systems to enable the business to scale efficiently over the coming years.

About You

At Believ, we are building a culture that attracts and retains great talent. We are a dedicated and high-performing team, working at pace within a fast-growing industry, and we are looking for people who share our passion for reducing carbon emissions and creating cleaner air for all.

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) or qualified by experience with relevant commercial finance experience.
  • Experience in finance business partnering, financial analysis, budgeting and forecasting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience working with financial reporting systems, Power BI, and financial management software.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain financial concepts clearly to non‑financial stakeholders.
  • Commercially aware and able to identify financial risks and opportunities.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience within EV charging, infrastructure, energy, technology or other high-growth industries is advantageous.
  • Experience of financial modelling, investment appraisal and business case development.
  • Knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS.
  • Experience supporting process improvement and reporting automation initiatives.
  • Understanding of capital-intensive business models and project-based investments.
  • Solutions-focused with a proactive attitude.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
Benefits
