Edenbrook, a growing insurance business in the United Kingdom, is seeking a commercially minded Finance Business Partner to work closely with underwriting teams and senior leadership. I'm working with a growing, entrepreneurial insurance business looking to appoint a commercially minded Finance Business Partner to work closely with underwriting teams and senior leadership.

This is a hands-on role offering the opportunity to influence business performance, support strategic decisions and help shape the finance function as the business continues to grow.

Key responsibilities:

• Partner with underwriters and senior stakeholders, providing commercial insight and constructive challenge.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and financial planning across multiple portfolios.
• Analyse GWP, commissions, expenses, margins and profitability, identifying key trends and opportunities.
• Produce monthly management accounts, performance packs and Board-level reporting.
• Support business cases, scenario modelling, new product launches and growth initiatives.
• Own and support month-end, quarter-end and year-end close processes.
• Drive improvements in financial reporting, forecasting accuracy, controls and processes.

What we're looking for:

• ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent qualified accountant.
• Strong experience in business partnering, FP&A or commercial finance.
• Background in an MGA, insurance carrier, insurance broker or complex financial services environment.
• Strong financial modelling, analytical and Excel skills.
• Confident communicator, comfortable challenging assumptions and influencing senior stakeholders.
• Knowledge of GWP, commissions, IBA and profit commission would be highly advantageous.
