Job summary

Rooftop Housing Group is seeking an experienced Finance Business Partner to provide high‑quality financial partnering to Customer, Property and Resources directorates. You will produce monthly management accounts with variance analysis and lead the annual budget process to inform strategic decisions.

You'll collaborate with senior managers, lead a small team, and support the statutory accounts process while acting as the finance contact for the Repairs and Maintenance Contract.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant or finalist nearing qualification.
• Experience producing management accounts, forecasts and variance analysis.
• Proven track record leading budgeting processes and monitoring.
• Confident presenting financial information to senior managers or Boards.
• Strong business partnering and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to lead, manage and motivate a team.

Responsibilities

Reporting to: Senior Financial Planning Manager

We're looking for an experienced finance professional to join us as Finance Business Partner providing high-quality financial business partnering to our Customer, Property and Resources directorates.

This is a varied and influential role where you'll produce our monthly management accounts, lead the annual budget process, and work closely with senior managers to drive sound financial decision-making across the Group.

What you'll do

• Prepare monthly management accounts, with variance analysis, commentary and forecasts
• Present financial performance and reporting to the Executive Team
• Lead the annual budget setting process for the Customer, Property and Resources directorates
• Provide financial business partnering support to budget holders across the organisation
• Manage balance sheet reconciliations and support the statutory accounts process
• Act as key Finance contact for our Repairs and Maintenance Contract
• Lead, manage and develop the Assistant Finance Business Partner

About you:

• A recognised accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA or equivalent), or be an exceptional finalist nearing qualification
• Experience producing management accounts, forecasts and variance analysis
• A track record of leading budget setting and monitoring processes
• Confidence presenting financial information to senior managers and/or Boards
• Strong business partnering and stakeholder management skills
• The ability to lead, manage and motivate a team
