Job summary

Oyster Recruitment Limited is recruiting a Finance Business Partner to join a growing international organisation in the UK. This high-profile role offers commercial exposure, responsibility for financial planning and analysis, and a clear path toward Head of Finance.

You will partner with senior leaders and local management, owning management accounting, budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting, and you will support month-end processes while strengthening controls and governance.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with strong technical finance expertise and commercial acumen.
• Experience across management accounting, financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting.
• Proven Finance Business Partner or commercially focused finance role.
• Strong understanding of P&L, balance sheet and month-end processes.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to turn data into insight.
• Experience with ERP/finance systems; Oracle would be advantageous.
• Solid understanding of financial controls, governance and compliance.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience in a larger or international organisation would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Partner with senior leadership and operational teams, providing commercial financial advice and insight.
• Analyse financial performance, identify trends, risks, opportunities and improvements.
• Lead management accounting, budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting processes.
• Oversee month-end activities and ensure accurate and timely financial close.
• Manage balance sheet reviews and reconciliations.
• Review P&L performance and investigate variances against budget and forecast.
• Maintain robust financial controls and ensure compliance with policies.
• Work with internal and external auditors during audits.
• Support development and capability of the wider finance team.
• Utilise ERP and finance systems to maintain accurate records, journals and reporting.
• Identify and implement improvements to financial processes and reporting.

We are looking for an experienced Finance Business Partner to join a growing international organisation and play a key role across its UK operations. This is a high-profile role offering genuine commercial exposure, responsibility for financial planning and analysis, and an excellent opportunity to develop towards a future Head of Finance position.

The Role

You will work closely with senior leaders and local management teams, providing clear financial insight to support strategic and operational decision-making. Alongside business partnering, you will take ownership of core management accounting, reporting, forecasting and budgeting activities.

About You

We are looking for a qualified accountant who combines strong technical finance expertise with excellent commercial and relationship-building skills.

You will ideally have:

• ACCA or CIMA qualification
• Strong experience across management accounting, financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting
• Proven experience in a Finance Business Partner or commercially focused finance role
• Strong understanding of P&L, balance sheet management and month-end processes
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong commercial awareness and the ability to turn financial data into meaningful business insight
• Experience working with ERP and finance systems; Oracle or a similar system would be advantageous
• Good understanding of financial controls, governance and compliance
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Experience working within a larger or international organisation would be beneficial
