Job summary

Rutherford Briant is partnering with a well-established Chelmsford-based business to build out and shape the FP&A function by hiring a Finance Business Partner.

In this role you will support budgeting, forecasting and long-term planning, deliver monthly performance analysis with variance reporting, and collaborate with stakeholders to drive commercial insights and solid financial decision-making.

Qualifications

• As a Finance Business Partner you will need ACA/ACCA/CIMA part of fully qualified.
• Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis.
• Strong Excel skills and ability to work with financial models.

Responsibilities

• Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning, including building and maintaining financial models.
• Deliver monthly performance analysis with variance reporting, KPI tracking, and clear commercial insight.
• Partner with stakeholders across the business to support decision-making, strategic initiatives, and business cases.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts, including journals, accruals, prepayments, and reconciliations.
• Ensure accurate financial reporting and data integrity, supporting month-end, audit requirements, and process improvements.

We are currently partnering with a well-established business within Chelmsford looking to continue their run of growth. The role is newly created to help build out and shape the FP&A function through hiring a finance Business Partner.
