Job summary

ACCA Careers is seeking a Finance Business Partner to support the retail/industrial finance function. You will partner with Accounting & Finance, Commercial and Operational teams to translate financial data into practical guidance for day-to-day decisions.

You will provide detailed analysis, support month-end/year-end reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and KPI dashboards using AI/BI tools; AAT/ CIMA/ ACCA qualification is preferred and advanced Excel is essential.

Qualifications

• AAT Qualified, Finalist or Qualified CIMA / ACCA.
• Experience as Finance Business Partner, Management Accountant, or Commercial Finance Analyst.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience using AI and BI reporting tools.
• Experience in manufacturing, FMCG, or similar operational environment is beneficial.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and management reporting.
• Experience with large datasets and commercial reporting tools.
• Experience managing HMRC Duty requirements would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Commercial, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to support key business decisions.
• Provide detailed analysis of business performance against budget, forecast, and prior year.
• Produce customer, product, and profitability analysis to support commercial decision-making.
• Support annual customer tenders and pricing agreements.
• Challenge and influence decision-makers constructively to improve business performance.
• Translate complex financial data into clear and meaningful business information.
• Assist with the preparation of monthly and annual management accounts.
• Support accurate and timely month-end and year-end reporting processes.
• Manage stock valuations and provide commentary on stock movements and provisions.
• Calculate monthly foreign exchange gains and losses.
• Produce KPI dashboards, management reports, and trend analysis covering sales, pricing, margins, and profitability.
• Manage and maintain commercial reporting models and forecasting tools.
• Lead revenue, cost of goods, and gross margin forecasting.
• Support the annual budgeting process.
• Assist with long-term strategic planning activities.
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes through automation, BI tools, and AI solutions.
• Provide cover for excise duty and VAT reporting activities during month-end and year-end periods.
• Support accurate management of sales rebate processes.
• Maintain the integrity and accuracy of financial and commercial data.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and relevant legislation.

Profile
