Job summary

Pertemps Black Country Perms is seeking a Finance Business Partner to join our team in a full-time, office-based role in Walsall. You'll work closely with the Finance Director and leadership group, blending hands-on finance with commercial insight to influence profitability, pricing, cash flow and performance.

You'll produce management accounts, support budgets and forecasts, and partner with senior leaders to explain the numbers behind performance.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification or equivalent experience.
• Strong management accounts and financial reporting experience.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow and commercial analysis.
• Advanced Excel and reporting system experience; Xero/Power BI a plus.

Responsibilities

• Produce monthly management accounts and support budgets, forecasts and month-end reporting.
• Collaborate with senior leaders across Sales, Commercial, Technical and Operations to explain the numbers behind performance.
• Analyze margins, pricing and profitability across customers, suppliers and products.
• Use financial analysis and modelling to support commercial decisions.
• Monitor cash flow and working capital, highlighting risks and opportunities.
• Take responsibility for payroll, VAT and other key finance and compliance tasks.
• Support year-end, audit and statutory reporting with the Finance Director.
• Manage an Accounts Assistant and seek reporting, dashboard and data quality improvements.

Finance Business Partner

Location: Walsall

Salary: £60,000 - £65,000

Working Pattern: Full-Time, Office Based

Are you a commercially minded finance professional who wants to do more than simply report the numbers?

We're recruiting for a Finance Business Partner to work closely with the Finance Director and wider leadership team. You'll combine hands-on finance with commercial insight, helping shape decisions around profitability, pricing, cash flow and business performance.

What you'll be doing:

• Producing monthly management accounts and supporting budgets, forecasts and month-end reporting
• Working closely with senior leaders across Sales, Commercial, Technical and Operations, helping them understand the numbers behind performance
• Getting into the detail of margins, pricing and profitability across customers, suppliers and products
• Using financial analysis and modelling to help the business make better commercial decisions
• Keeping a close eye on cash flow and working capital, highlighting risks and opportunities
• Taking responsibility for payroll, VAT and other key finance and compliance requirements
• Supporting year-end, audit and statutory reporting alongside the Finance Director
• Managing an Accounts Assistant and looking for ways to improve reporting, dashboards, processes and data quality

What we’re looking for:

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification, or equivalent relevant experience
• Strong management accounts and financial reporting experience
• Experience across budgeting, forecasting, cash flow and commercial analysis
• Advanced Excel skills and confidence using financial reporting systems
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn numbers into meaningful business insight
• Confidence working with, challenging and influencing senior stakeholders
• Experience with Xero, Power BI or developing management dashboards would be beneficial
