Job summary

Miele is seeking a Finance Business Controller to partner with the Marketing Director and drive financial management, performance analysis and strategic planning across the business. You will provide insights on profitability, pricing, promotions, budgeting, forecasting and reporting.

Based in Abingdon with hybrid working, the role combines commercial finance leadership with cross-functional collaboration to support informed decision-making and value creation.

Qualifications

• Degree educated or professionally qualified in finance.
• Proven experience as a Business Controller or Finance Business Partner.
• Strong commercial awareness with ability to translate financial insights into business recommendations.
• High analytical capability with proactive mindset to identify and solve problems.
• Experience managing financial data and leading finance-related projects with senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead budgeting, forecasting, performance analysis and financial planning across the business unit.
• Provide strategic guidance on profitability, pricing, investments and performance improvements.
• Prepare regular reporting, business cases and financial recommendations for decision-making.
• Evaluate investments and promotional activities through pre- and post-analysis reviews.
• Contribute to development and improvement of financial processes and reporting standards.
• Ensure accurate financial data management, rebate management and cost control processes.
• Coordinate and execute regular forecast and budget cycles with cross-functional teams.

As a Finance Business Controller, you will work closely with the Marketing Director to supportfinancial management, commercial performance, and strategic planning across the business. You will provide financial insight and guidance on profitability, investments, pricing, promotions, and business performance while supporting budgeting, forecasting, and reporting activities.

Your Responsibilities

• In close collaboration with the Marketing Director, you lead budgeting, forecasting, performance analysis, and financial planning activities across the business unit

• Through detailed financial analysis, youprovidestrategic guidance on profitability, pricing decisions, investments, and business performance improvements

• In partnership with internal departments, you prepare regular reporting, business cases, and financial recommendations to support informed decision-making

• With a proactive and analytical approach, you evaluate investments, return on investment, and promotional activities through pre- and post-analysis reviews

• In cooperation with theFP&ADirector, you contribute to the development and improvement of financial processes, reporting standards, and activefinancial managementpractices

• Across key business activities, you ensureaccuratefinancial data management, rebate management, and effective cost control processes

• Through close collaboration with cross-functional teams, you coordinate and execute regular forecast and budget cycles while supporting strategic and tactical business initiatives

What We Are Looking For

• Degree educated or professionally qualified in finance, either part qualified or fully qualified, with a commitment to continuous learning

• Proven experience as a Business Controller or Finance Business Partner within a consumer products environment, ideally supporting Marketing or commercial functions

• Strong commercial awareness with the ability to translate financial insights into practical business recommendations

• High analytical capability with a proactive mindset and the ability toidentifyissues, solve problems, and manage financial risks effectively

• Experience managing financial data, leading finance-related projects, and collaborating confidently with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams
