Role:Finance Business Analyst (6-months fixed term contract)

This role plays a key part in driving Finance transformation and change initiatives. The Finance Business Analyst will be responsible for analysing business needs, capturing and translating requirements, and supporting the delivery of finance projects across technology and operational areas. The successful candidate will bridge the gap between Finance stakeholders and delivery teams, leveraging agile methods and strong documentation skills including process mapping.

The ideal candidate will bring solid experience of Finance processes, an understanding of payments or financial operations, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced, agile project environment. A professional accountancy qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA) would be advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with Finance and cross-functional teams to capture detailed business and functional requirements aligned to strategic goals.

Document and analyse current-state and future-state processes using BPMN 2.0 standards, identifying inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement.

Work with Agile delivery teams, participating in ceremonies (e.g., sprint planning, daily stand-ups), creating and managing user stories, and ensuring continuous delivery.

Act as a Finance subject matter liaison between operational teams, technology, and external partners to ensure alignment on requirements and priorities.

Create test plans and test scripts; support user acceptance testing (UAT); identify, track and help resolve defects and gaps.

Support the rollout of new processes or systems through documentation, training materials, and workshops, ensuring successful adoption.

Maintain clear and auditable documentation across requirements, testing, risks, and issues logs to support governance and compliance standards.

Contribute to enterprise projects including GL/ERP upgrades and implementations, internal payment system changes, and automation initiatives.

Key Skills and Competencies

Professional Experience:

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst in Financial Services, Payments, or Fintech environments
• Understanding of payments business models, funds flow architecture, and FX (foreign exchange) operations
• Experience with technology-led financial services (e.g., e-money, digital wallets, settlement platforms) or financial products
• Exposure to ERP systems and data models/architectures

Technical Skills:

• Skills in BPMN 2.0 process mapping using tools such as Visio
• Proficiency in Agile tools such as Jira, Confluence; comfortable working in Agile/Scrum environments
• Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills including ability to communicate findings and proposals clearly using PowerPoint presentations
