Job summary

UKSBS is recruiting for Finance Associates to become subject matter experts in Database Management, Payments or Expenses. The roles are embedded within a hybrid working model and involve supporting managers, driving service improvements and liaising with clients and stakeholders.

The three positions offer opportunities to contribute to ongoing service development and to strengthen cross-functional knowledge sharing in a dynamic public-sector environment.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience and knowledge within Database Management, Payments or Expenses workstreams.
• First class written and oral communication skills.
• Good knowledge of SaaS solutions such as Oracle, Workday or SAP.
• High attention to detail, ensuring accuracy of data, processes and documentation.
• Proactive, problem-solving approach with a clear focus on delivery.
• Good Microsoft Office skills, including Outlook and Excel.
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels and build strong stakeholder relationships.
• Experience in a shared service or customer-focused environment and a finance qualification would be advantageous but are not essential.

Responsibilities

• Act as a subject matter expert within either Database Management, Payments or Expenses, supporting colleagues and resolving complex queries.
• Act as an embedded point of specialist knowledge for complex operational matters.
• Work alongside Team Managers on service development and continuous improvement.
• Strengthen knowledge sharing, resilience and consistency within each function.
• Identify opportunities to add value for clients and improve service outcomes.
• Act as a key liaison with clients and internal stakeholders to maintain strong working relationships.
