A leading NHS organization in Coventry is seeking a Finance Assistant to join the Group Finance Team. This role involves providing financial advice, maintaining financial systems, and supporting the Finance Manager. Candidates will have a pathway to study for AAT and Professional Accountancy qualifications. The role offers an opportunity to contribute to effective budget management within a dynamic healthcare environment, ensuring compliance with financial policies and timely reporting.
To work within the Group Finance Team to provide comprehensive financial advice to Service and Speciality managers to enable the achievement of financial balance and contribute to the business planning process and service developments.
The post holder will be part of a team directly involved in the maintenance of the general ledger and budgetary control system and ensuring compliance with all finance policies and procedures [including the Trust’s Standing Financial Instructions (SFIs)].
This role will provide the successful candidate with a stepping stone into an NHS finance career with the opportunity to study for an AAT qualification and then onto a Professional Accountancy qualification through the apprenticeship levy route.
