Job summary

Your Recruiters Limited is recruiting a Finance Assistant for a busy, family-owned manufacturing business in Loughborough. The role covers sales and purchase ledgers, credit control and general accounting duties, with an emphasis on accuracy and organisational skills.

You'll join a friendly team, support the Financial Controller and use your existing finance experience across different accounts tasks. An office-based position in Loughborough awaits with an immediate start for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Finance Assistant or similar role.
• Good understanding of bookkeeping principles including VAT and reconciliations.
• Experience using accounting software such as Sage, QuickBooks or Xero.
• Strong Excel and MS Office skills.
• Confident communicating with customers and suppliers; able to chase outstanding payments.

Responsibilities

• Sales Ledger: issue invoices, allocate payments and keep records up to date.
• Purchase Ledger: process supplier invoices, match POs and reconcile statements.
• Credit Control: monitor overdue balances and maintain relationships with customers.
• Accounts Administration: maintain customer and supplier records, manage expenses.
• Payment Processing: support supplier payments and remittance advice.
• Month End: assist reconciliations and reporting.
