Job summary

CMA Recruitment Group is seeking a proactive Finance Assistant for an interim role in Romsey, near Southampton. This temporary position offers a chance to gain valuable finance experience within a growing UK retailer, with a supportive and collaborative team culture.

You will manage high-volume reconciliations, process invoices, and handle debtor queries, with flexible core hours and weekly in-person teamwork in a dynamic business environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in high-volume transactional finance or bookkeeping, ideally with exposure to retail or ecommerce activities.
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles, with formal qualification such as AAT Level 2 or 3 preferred.
• Self-motivated, adaptable, and eager to learn, with a team-oriented attitude that values collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Managing high-volume reconciliation processes, ensuring accuracy and completeness of transactions, and contributing to the integrity of financial records
• Processing and verifying customer invoices, collaborating with internal teams to streamline billing and remittance procedures
• Monitoring and resolving debtor account queries promptly while maintaining professional relationships with customers
