Escape in the United Kingdom (Scotland) is seeking a Finance Assistant to join its busy finance team. You will handle supplier invoices, expenses, month-end tasks and support VAT/CIS processes, ensuring accurate records.

The role offers a practical, team-oriented environment with opportunities to develop core transactional finance skills. Ideally you bring experience in finance or administration, strong numerical ability, good Excel skills and the teamwork to liaise with colleagues and suppliers

Formación

• Previous experience in a Finance Assistant, Accounts Assistant, Accounts Payable, Finance Administrator or similar role.
• Experience processing financial transactions and working with numerical information.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to spot and resolve routine discrepancies.
• Good MS Excel skills.
• Good communication skills and the confidence to liaise with colleagues and suppliers.
• A practical, team-focused approach and a willingness to get involved and help wherever needed.

Responsabilidades

• Processing supplier invoices and managing the approval process.
• Reconciling supplier statements and resolving invoice queries.
• Processing employee expenses and bank postings.
• Supporting VAT and CIS returns.
• Applying appropriate financial coding and basic VAT treatment.
• Supporting account reconciliations and maintaining accurate financial records.
• Providing general finance and month-end support to the Finance Manager and wider team.
• Managing the Finance mailbox and post, ensuring queries and documents are dealt with promptly.
• Responding to routine finance queries from colleagues, suppliers and other stakeholders.
