Job summary

Dovetail & Slate Ltd in Greater London is recruiting for an entry-level finance/ accounts assistant within the education sector. You will join the finance team to support day-to-day transactional work, ensuring accuracy and timeliness across invoicing, payments and ledgers.

You will handle routine tasks, be the go-to contact for queries across the organisation, and contribute to month-end processes and financial reporting with accuracy and diligence.

Qualifications

• Experience in a finance or accounts assistant role.
• Strong numeracy and attention to detail.
• Confident use of finance systems and spreadsheets.
• Good organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Processing invoices, payments and expense claims accurately and within agreed timescales.
• Maintaining purchase and sales ledgers, including reconciliations.
• Supporting month-end processes and assisting with financial reporting.
• Responding to finance queries from internal colleagues and external suppliers.
• Keeping financial records and documentation accurate and up to date.
