Gleeson-Recruitment-Group is recruiting a Finance Assistant in Birmingham on a hybrid basis. The role supports the finance team across daily transactions and month-end activities.

The ideal candidate has previous finance experience, good Excel skills, and can manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. The salary is £28,000 per annum with hybrid working.

This role offers development opportunities within a growing finance function and exposure to Accounts Payable and payroll support.

Qualifications

• Finance experience in a similar role.
• Exposure to accounts payable is an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good organisational and time-management skills.
• Confident communicator and team player.

Responsibilities

• Process and record daily financial transactions across entities and currencies.
• Reconcile bank accounts and investigate discrepancies.
• Liaise with customers regarding payment queries and balances.
• Communicate with suppliers to resolve invoice discrepancies and obtain documentation.
• Process supplier invoices accurately and efficiently.
• Administer company credit card transactions and coding.
• Support payroll administration activities.
• Assist with month-end reporting and finance deliverables.
• Monitor customer credit limits and support credit control processes.
• Maintain financial data including exchange rates and key information.
• Ensure records are accurate and complied with policies.
