Job summary

RealVNC Limited is seeking a Finance Assistant to join our UK/US accounting operations. You will handle purchase ledgers, expenses, bank reconciliations and month-end close tasks within a small, private equity-backed team with global reach.

This hybrid role requires strong analytical ability, proactive ownership of tasks, and experience with Excel. The team collaborates across offices in Cambridge and London, with opportunities to contribute to audits and financial reporting.

Qualifications

• Have demonstrable experience of financial transactions and processing.
• Are familiar with the key accountancy terms and principles.
• Operate with a high level of attention to detail.
• Are proactive and take ownership of your work.
• Are able to use Microsoft Excel to an intermediate level.
• Demonstrate excellent analytical skills.
• Have strong organisational skills.
• Hold an AAT Level 2 qualification or university degree in Accounting or similar or have the equivalent demonstrable experience.

Responsibilities

• Purchase Ledger - posting of invoices and setting up payments.
• Production of monthly management accounts, including journal postings in areas such as fixed assets, prepayments and accruals.
• Assist with monthly management accounts actual v budget analysis.
• Monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
• Bank reconciliations.
• Fixed Asset Register management.
• Assist in delivery of audit requirements.
• Ad hoc tasks and coverage for other team members when needed.
