Job summary

Halfords is seeking a Finance Assistant at our Redditch (Worcestershire) site to support day-to-day finance operations and ensure accurate records. The role offers a hybrid policy with 2 on-site days at our Redditch Support Centre, and exposure to KPI reporting and account reconciliations.

You will process transactions, manage payment runs, and resolve finance queries, with opportunities to develop within a supportive team. A competitive salary and bonus scheme are on offer.

Qualifications

• Role requires teamwork and willingness to support colleagues across Shared Services.
• Experience with SAP is beneficial but training will be provided.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, especially Excel, SharePoint and Teams.
• Strong organisational and time management skills in a demanding environment.
• Ability to prioritise work and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Process day‑to‑day finance transactions and payment runs.
• Handle high-volume purchase invoice processing.
• Resolve finance queries and reconcile accounts.
• Manage corporate and virtual card transactions with receipts.
• Assist with month-end reporting and KPI data.
• Maintain rent payment schedules and insurance/charges records.
• Contribute to continuous improvement within the finance team.
