Job summary

Halfords is seeking a Finance Assistant to join our finance team at the Redditch Support Centre. You will support day-to-day finance activities, process transactions, manage payments, answer queries and help keep financial records up to date.

The role offers a clear path to progression within a collaborative shared services environment, with a hybrid working arrangement: 2 days on site and up to 3 days at home, plus access to discounts and a supportive development culture at Halfords.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to work as part of a shared services team.
• Good organisational and time management skills.
• Experience with or willingness to learn SAP/finance systems.

Responsibilities

• Process day-to-day finance transactions, including goods receipts and payment runs.
• Handle high volume purchase invoice processing.
• Resolve finance queries and manage accounts payable records.
• Manage corporate and virtual card transactions and receipts.
• Support month-end and KPI reporting.
• Maintain rent payment schedules and service charge payments.
• Reconcile clearing accounts and consolidate invoices.
• Assist with Continuous Improvement initiatives.
