Job summary

Vertex Resourcing is seeking a Finance Assistant for a fast-growing brand-based finance team in London. You’ll own day-to-day financial operations, including invoicing, credit control, payables, and cash forecasting, in a hands-on, agile environment.

Ideal candidates are part-qualified or qualified ACCA/CIMA/AAT or qualified by experience, with strong Xero and Excel skills and a proactive, collaborative mindset to support month-end and VAT processes.

Qualifications

• Hands-on transactional finance experience across sales ledger, purchase ledger, credit control, and daily reconciliations.
• Proficient in Xero and MS Excel; familiarity with Dext is a plus.
• Part-qualified or qualified ACCA/CIMA/AAT, or qualified by experience in SME or challenger-brand environments.
• Highly organised, proactive communicator who collaborates cross-functionally and keeps cash forecasting accurate.

Responsibilities

• Raise accurate sales invoices and drive proactive credit control.
• Process payables and manage weekly payment runs.
• Conduct daily bank reconciliations and cash forecasting.
• Collaborate with internal teams to streamline document flow and prepare month-end / VAT processes with external accountants.
