Job summary

Rutherford Briant is seeking a Finance Assistant to join a growing team in the Essex area. The role involves handling day-to-day accounting tasks, exposure to accounts payable and receivable, and support across monthly accounts.

The ideal candidate has a few years in finance, strong numerical skills, and solid IT proficiency with Excel. The role offers study support and on-the-job training within a supportive, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• A few years experience in finance would be advantageous.
• Strong numerical ability.
• Proficient IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel.
• Motivated, proactive and driven.
• Strong team player, with the initiative to take ownership of tasks and responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Processing invoices.
• Bank reconciliations and cash fund monitoring.
• Monitoring cashflow and chasing debtors.
• Assisting with monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
• Assist with prepayments and the fixed asset register.
• Support with monthly management accounts.
