Job summary

CMR Jobs Limited is working with a growing SME seeking a Finance Assistant to join a busy finance team in Newquay. The role focuses on processing supplier invoices, matching against POs, and bank reconciliations, with VAT assistance and general administration.

You will be responsible for Accounts Payable tasks, maintaining accuracy, working with Excel and finance systems, and supporting colleagues to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in Accounts Payable or purchase ledger roles.
• Proficient with Excel and finance systems.
• Detail-oriented with accuracy.
• Able to manage workload and deadlines.
• Excellent communication and organisation.

Responsibilities

• Processing high volumes of supplier invoices accurately and efficiently.
• Matching invoices against purchase orders and resolving discrepancies.
• Reconciliation of supplier statements and investigating outstanding items.
• Bank reconciliations including credit card and expenses
• Assist in VAT preparation and submission
• Supporting the wider finance team with reconciliations and general administration.
