Job description

We’re looking for Finance Assistant Apprentice to join our team here in Bradford (BD4)

Our Finance Assistant Apprentice role and will require you to study for your AAT up to level 3 Advanced Diploma in accounting with the potential to continue onto a level 7 Apprenticeship.

Within this role, you will facilitate the processing of Applications for Payment (AFP) within the CPA system, progressing them through to payment. You will be required to deal with any queries that arise as well as problem solving any AFP’s that are invalid. Within this role you will also be required to support with the processing of Exceptions where our automation Bot has not been able to wholly process the AFP.

You’ll be working as a Finance Apprentice within our Shared Service Centre. The Shared Service team is based in Bradford, which in addition to Finance also includes Claims, Finance Systems, Payment Operations and Employee Services to Liberty Global.

Through formal training and development as well as the experience you gain on the job, you will be able to develop a wide range of skills including :

  • Data analysis and manipulation
  • Financial acumen
  • Communication
  • Multiple systems and applications

By the end of your apprenticeship, at a minimum, you’ll also have achieved your AAT Level 3 Advanced Diploma in Accounting. This will be a great kick start to your Accounting career!

What will you be doing?
Accountabilities include but are not limited to :
  • Month end accounting for Liberty Global Central including preparing journals.

  • SOX compliance.
  • Participation in ad-hoc projects.

This role will be based out of our Braford office (BD4) we encourage candidates to apply that are within a commutable distance, you will be expected to work in the office on a hybrid basis, typically 2-3 days per week.
