Job summary

Glasgow Prestwick Airport is seeking a Finance Assistant to support day-to-day financial operations alongside Air China Cargo. You will report to the Finance Manager and help with invoices, payments, tax-related tasks and revenue reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance within a fast-paced aviation environment.

The role requires a college diploma or equivalent qualification and prior finance-related experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Relevant finance or accounting exposure is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial admin tasks.
• Good communication and coordination with internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Process invoices, payments, expense reimbursements and bank transfers per approvals.
• Support tax return preparation and liaise with the accountant on local tax requirements.
• Check cargo data to ensure accurate revenue reporting.
• Maintain asset registers, stocktakes and reconcile records.
• Manage financial records and ensure secure storage.
• Assist with ad hoc office duties and cross-department reporting.

What We’re Looking For

As a Finance Assistant we are looking for a highly organised and detail-oriented individual with strong financial administration skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks accurately and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Process invoices, payments, expense reimbursements and bank transfers in line with approval procedures.
• Support tax return preparation and liaise with the appointed accountant on local tax and financial requirements.
• Check cargo sales data to ensure accurate and timely revenue reporting.
• Maintain asset and equipment registers, carry out stocktakes and reconcile records.
• Manage tickets, controlled documents and financial records, ensuring accuracy and secure storage.
• Work with sales and other departments to support financial reporting and undertake reasonable ad hoc office duties.

About you

• College diploma or equivalent qualification, or above.
• Previous experience in a finance-related role is preferred.
• Understanding of local tax and relevant legal requirements.
• Good working knowledge of English, with strong communication, interpersonal and coordination skills.
