Job summary

TPXimpact Ltd is hiring a Finance Assistant in Greater London to manage purchase ledgers, process invoices, and assist with cash flow and month-end activities. The role focuses on accounts payable, with support for accounts receivable as needed.

The successful candidate will have solid knowledge of VAT, ledger management, and experience with NetSuite and Xero, plus strong Excel skills. You will work in a collaborative finance team and ensure accurate financial data.

About The Role

The Finance Assistant is responsible for processing financial transactions across DT and Central operations with a primary focus on accounts payable while also assisting with accounts receivable tasks as required. The role will report to the Senior Finance Manager.

Responsibilities
  • Focus on accounts payable - managing the purchase ledger including coding and processing invoices, payment runs, staff expenses and corporate card transactions
  • Setting up new suppliers on the accounting system (NetSuite)
  • Supporting accounts receivable - credit control, raising sales invoices, liaising with project managers and reviewing client queries
  • Reconciliation of bank accounts and other items as directed by the (Senior) Finance Manager
  • Support the month-end and year-end process and preparation of monthly financial accounts
  • Assisting with any other ad‑hoc duties as required including assisting with accounts payable
  • Continuously maintain and update skills and knowledge to stay current within your relevant field of expertise
About You
Professional knowledge and experience
  • Solid understanding of core accounting concepts including accounts receivable, accounts payable, ledger management, VAT, and reconciliation processes
  • Proficiency with accounting software such as NetSuite and Xero, including experience in transaction processing, supplier/client setup, and reporting
  • Experience managing aged debts, credit limits, and client communications to ensure timely collections
  • Basic skills in short-term cash flow forecasting and financial reporting support
  • Knowledge of relevant tax regulations (e.g. VAT) and financial controls to ensure adherence to company policies and legal requirements
  • Ability to analyze discrepancies, resolve financial queries, and improve processes
  • Strong interpersonal skills for liaising with internal teams, clients, and suppliers effectively

  • Basic understanding of double-entry bookkeeping, sales & purchase invoices, supplier/client management
  • Understanding of correct VAT application
  • Maintaining accurate financial records and managing multiple datasets
