Tetra Tech in Leeds is seeking a Project Finance Assistant to join a small finance team supporting project set-up, invoicing and ongoing maintenance on the TLX Oracle system.
You will help ensure accuracy and compliance, raise invoices, manage budgets, reconciliations, and respond to queries, with hybrid working (3 days in the office, 2 days at home) and a generous benefits package.
Purpose & Scope of the Role
As part of a team of five Project Finance Assistants and two Supervisors, reporting to the Project Finance Manager, you will support project set-up, sales invoicing and ongoing project maintenance through a shared email hub. Working on the TLX Oracle-based system, you will help ensure project and financial information is accurate, compliant with delegated authority and risk policies, and maintained to a high standard.
Your work will support accurate invoicing and revenue recognition, helping the business meet financial targets and deadlines. You will create and maintain revenue and cost-to-complete budgets, process invoices, complete reconciliations and monthly data checks, maintain client credit scores and invoice instructions, and support credit note and customer queries. You will also assist with intercompany projects, supplier questionnaires, client or discipline-specific requirements and ad hoc reporting.
You will bring experience in a comparable finance role, ideally within a project-based environment. Strong organisation, prioritisation, accuracy and communication skills are essential, alongside the ability to work independently and collaboratively under pressure. Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including look‑ups and pivot tables, is required. Experience of project accounting and revenue recognition would be advantageous.
Ideally based in Leeds, this role follows a hybrid pattern of three days in the office and two days working from home, with flexible working arrangements available to meet business needs. You will receive professional training and development, contributory pension, life insurance, health cover and flexible benefits including additional holiday, travel insurance and retail discounts.
