The Marches Academy Trust is seeking a proactive Finance Assistant to join our Central Finance Team in Shrewsbury. This permanent role is 30 hours per week, 52 weeks per year, based at the Trust Central Services Offices.
You will handle purchasing, supplier payments, sales invoices and monthly financial administration across our family of schools in Shropshire, supporting our pupils’ outcomes. Prior finance experience and attention to detail are essential.
Finance Assistant
The Marches Academy Trust is seeking a proactive and organised Finance Assistant to join our Central Finance Team. Working across a diverse family of schools in Shropshire, you will play an important role in supporting the day-to-day finance operations that help our schools deliver the very best outcomes for pupils.
Hours: 30 Hours per Week, Permanent (52 weeks per year)
Salary: Grade 5: £26,427 to £26,846 FTE
Location: Based at the Trust Central Services Offices, Shrewsbury
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with finance experience who is looking to continue their career development in finance. The role will be first point of call for a selection of school and includes processing purchase orders and invoices, supporting supplier payments, liaising with suppliers, raising sales invoices and assisting with monthly financial administration, experience within the education sector would be advantageous.
The role is based at our Trust Central Services Offices in Shrewsbury. Whilst the role is office based, we can offer flexibility regarding the working days for the 30 contracted hours.
