Finance Assistant

Description

The Finance Assistant role will be 100% office based in Stalybridge and is initially a temporary role for 3 months, which could be extended. Reporting to the Financial Controller, key responsibilities will include:

1. Ensure payments and reconciliation of accounts are carried out on a timely basis.
2. Ensure all statements and accounts are checked for accuracy and payments are issued in accordance with regulatory standards.
3. Work with the broking team to ensure payments are obtained within agreed credit terms and promptly deal with any issues that could lead to or result in payment not being made within credit terms.
4. Take client card payments over the phone.
5. Receipt cash onto the system and maintain an Excel cashbook.
6. Set up payment of client refunds using online banking procedures.
7. Perform bank reconciliation.

Profile

In order to apply for the role, you should:

1. Have previous experience in a Finance/Accounts Assistant/Accounts Receivable role.
2. Ideally have experience of bank reconciliation.
3. Be able to commute full-time to the Stalybridge office.
4. Be able to consider a temporary role initially.
