Job description

  • Job Type: Temporary Contract (6-9 months)
  • Working hours - Monday - Friday 9am-5pm
  • Location: Central Manchester

Agility is delighted to be working with a licensing agency based in Central Manchester. They are looking for a Finance Assistant to join their team on a temporary basis to assist with an upcoming project.

This role is joining a team of 10 in the heart of Manchester and they are looking for someone who is vibrant, hit the group running and be adaptable.

The role is to process sales and purchase invoices, payments and receipts and statement reconciliations. This role is reporting in the Finance Manager

What you will be doing:

  • Process invoices accurately, efficiently and on time
  • Process customer debit notes and stock returns accurately, efficiently and on time and make sure they are properly authorised
  • Allocate bank receipts and payments in Sage ensuring they are posted accurately, efficiently and on time
  • Efficiently handle Customer and Supplier queries and resolve issues.
  • Payment and remittance advise the issue
  • Ensure the company is always professionally represented, both inside and outside the business, to ensure legal compliance
  • Be an active and vocal member of the Finance, IT & Legal team
  • Continuously learn and develop skills, knowledge and experience to fulfill the short- and long-term objectives of the organisation to achieve constantly increasing operational output and standards

About you:

  • Knowledge using Sage 200
  • Experience using Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
  • Problem solver- can identify an issue and think of a solution
  • Attention to detail and ability to work toward deadlines
  • Planning and organisation skills
  • Ability to analyse, critically asses and challenge numbers and information
  • High levels of resilience and robustness
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills
