FOUDYS is seeking a part-qualified Finance Assistant to join our growing women’s football-focused business. You’ll work closely with the CEO and outsourced accountants, handling end-to-end finance from sales/purchase ledgers to payroll, VAT, cash flow and month-end.
You’ll own your area, keep financial data accurate, and raise issues early. The role is ideal for someone early in their finance career who wants broad exposure in a fast-growing company.
We’re a growing football retailer and community built specifically around the women’s game, bringing together shirts, merchandise, players, clubs and fans from across the world of women’s football.
As the business continues to grow across retail, e-commerce and partnerships, the finance function behind it needs to grow too.
We’re now looking for a part-qualified Finance Assistant to join the team and take ownership of the day-to-day finances of the business.
This is a brilliant opportunity for someone early in their finance career who wants more than a role where they’re responsible for one tiny part of the accounts process.
Working directly with our CEO and alongside our outsourced accountancy partner, you’ll get exposure across the finance function, from sales and purchase ledger through to payroll, VAT, cash flow and month-end.
You’ll be trusted to take ownership of your area, keep our financial information accurate and up to date, and spot things that need attention before somebody has to ask.
We’re growing quickly, so we need someone who is comfortable getting stuck in, asking questions and figuring things out.
You’ll also take ownership of supplier credits, making sure returns, rebates, credit notes and other adjustments are properly reconciled and identifying any outstanding money owed back to Foudys.
This is where the role becomes particularly important to the wider business.
We’re looking for someone who is part-qualified or currently studying towards a finance qualification, such as AAT, ACCA, CIMA or ACA.
You don’t need to have done absolutely everything on this list already. What matters is that you have a solid grounding in finance and you’re ready to take on more responsibility.
We’d love to meet someone who:
Most importantly, we want someone proactive. If something doesn't look right, you'll question it. If a payment is overdue, you'll chase it. If the numbers are telling us something important, you'll flag it.
You’ll be joining a growing business at a stage where you can have a genuine impact on how things are done.
Rather than sitting within a huge finance department, you’ll work closely with senior leadership and get exposure to a broad range of financial and commercial responsibilities.
For someone building their finance career, there’s a lot to get your teeth into.
And you’ll be doing it within a business helping to build the future of women’s football.
If you’re part-qualified, commercially curious and ready to take real ownership of your next finance role, we’d love to hear from you.
