Key Responsibilities
- Manage all administrative processes related to the HR function.
- Provide administrative support to the resource and business functions of the Academy and its estate.
- Support all aspects of business services and provide cover for reception activities.
- Handle recruitment and selection processes, including appointments, pay, resignations, absence, and contract changes.
- Process personnel and payroll documentation, maintaining staff files in accordance with protocols.
- Maintain and update personnel records and management information systems.
- Assist with recruitment administration and coordinate interview days.
- Prepare paperwork for new starters, including DBS and qualification checks, liaising with the Director of Resources.
- Support updating and maintaining the Academy's Single Central Record.
- Act as the first point of contact for staff absences and record keeping.
- Monitor staff absence, liaise with SLT and the Director of Resources on long-term sickness, and maintain absence records.
- Facilitate Occupational Health referrals and process related paperwork.
- Administer performance management and CPD requests, and conduct inductions and probation processes.
- Handle leaver processes, including exit questionnaires and return of equipment.
- Register NQTs and ECTs with the Trust.
- Coordinate with external agencies for supply staff, ensuring safeguarding and checks are completed.
- Assist with organising cover, trips, and events, and provide administrative support as needed.
- Support reception duties, answer queries, and manage records and correspondence.
- Support attendance monitoring and liaise with parents regarding absences.
- Utilise SIMS modules for attendance and behaviour management.
- Administer extended leave requests and free school lunch administration.
- Provide first aid, support medical needs, and maintain medical room records.
- Ensure confidentiality and compliance with policies on safeguarding, health and safety, and data protection.
- Promote the ethos and values of the Academy and support wider community engagement.
- Perform any other duties reasonably required by the Principal or Trust.
