Job summary

Michael Page are supporting a Derby-based business in its search for a Finance Assistant. The role covers day-to-day finance tasks within a Manufacturing environment and offers involvement in month-end tasks and financial reporting.

Candidates studying towards AAT, CIMA or ACCA (early stages) are encouraged, with on-site working five days a week in Derby; salary up to £35,000 and benefits to be confirmed.

• Supporting with month and year end closing

• Resolving supplier invoice queries
• Supporting with Accounts Payable and Receivable as required
• Adhoc duties supporting within the finance team

As a Finance Assistant in Derby, you will handle day-to-day finance tasks within the Manufacturing sector, helping the Accounting & Finance department keep accurate and useful records.

Our client is looking for someone studying towards their AAT or CIMA / ACCA and looking for a varied opportunity in Manufacturing.

Profile

A successful 'Finance Assistant' should have:

• Experience in a similar position
• Studying towards (AAT / CIMA or ACCA (early stages .
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment is advantageous
• Ability to work confidently with financial data and supporting documentation.
• Good attention to detail when checking information and identifying discrepancies.
• Ability to organise finance records clearly and maintain accurate files.
• Confidence using standard office and finance systems to process information.
• Ability to manage routine tasks effectively and meet agreed deadlines.
