Job description

As a Finance Assistant within Nova Systems International, you will be part of the Finance team providing accountancy support across the UK, Norway, and Ireland.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Processing invoices and expenses in Oracle ERP system
  • Preparing weekly supplier payments and setting up new suppliers
  • Performing month-end procedures for Cash, Payables, and Receivables
  • Reporting weekly cash balances and updating cash flow
  • Reconciling bank accounts across all companies weekly
  • Releasing sales invoices and liaising with the Project Services team
  • Providing information for Norway VAT returns and preparing Irish VAT returns
  • Reconciling supplier statements and resolving queries
  • Reconciliating credit card transactions
  • Monitoring the Finance inbox daily and clearing queries
  • Auditing expense claims
  • Collating information for Norway payroll
  • Posting journals as required
  • Reporting on debtors as needed
  • Providing ad hoc assistance as required

Essential Skills, Knowledge, and Attributes:

  • ACCA Qualified or Part Qualified (close to qualifying preferred)
  • Experience in a similar finance role
  • Ability to complete tasks accurately and on time with autonomy
  • Positive, flexible team player committed to high standards
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Commitment to professional development and continuous learning
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Eligible to work in the UK without sponsorship

The Team:

Led by Mark Longhorn, Head of Finance, the UK team includes a Financial Accountant, Finance Business Partner, Payroll Manager, and two Finance Assistants. All are based in Bristol, with a minimum of three days onsite.

Location:

Filton, North Bristol. Free parking available, with good bus routes and Abbey Wood train station 15 minutes walk from the office.
