Job description

We are the Information Intelligence Group (IIG) of CACI UK, a specialist technical consultancy providing bespoke solutions to solve complex operational problems. As we continue to grow, we are looking to appoint a Finance Assistant to join our Finance Team.

Role Location:

You can work from any of our 6 offices in the UK (including Bristol, Cheltenham & London) or from home, you decide. The role will however require regular meetings with key stakeholders in Bristol.

About the Role:

Working as part of CACI IIG Finance team, you will play a key role in supporting a rapidly growing multi-million pound business. As the Finance Assistant, you will ensure both the day-to-day finance and some operational tasks are completed efficiently and timely, operating as part of a small team. The Finance Assistant reports to the Senior Management Accountant and works closely with the Financial Operations Manager and the Financial Controller. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Accounts Payable – processing supplier invoices on Stampli, requesting new supplier setups, querying incorrect invoices, responding to supplier queries, managing payment expectations, and liaising with the central AP team in London.
  2. Timesheets – weekly chasing of staff timesheets and producing weekly/monthly summaries for clients.
  3. Company Credit Card – producing monthly spend summaries, collating receipts, and obtaining management approval.
  4. New Starters – setting up new employees on Netsuite and providing system training.
  5. Leavers – processing employee departures on Netsuite.
  6. Project Maintenance – managing project staff details in Netsuite, ensuring correct rates and dates.
  7. Accounts Receivable – assisting with debt collection and occasional billing support.
  8. Ad hoc tasks for the Operations team.
The Fit:

The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of accounting principles, either as a recent graduate or with previous finance experience. You should have excellent attention to detail, be able to manage conflicting priorities, and work under tight deadlines. Good people skills are essential to support staff across the business.

Security Clearance:

Due to our industry, the successful candidate must obtain high-level security clearance. To qualify, you must be a British citizen and have lived permanently in the UK for the last 5 years.

Why work for us?

IIG offers a culture of a small business with the benefits of a larger organization. The role provides a competitive salary and benefits, including:

  • Flexi-time: 37.5 hours weekly, flexible scheduling.
  • Hybrid working: Office or home-based.
  • Learning & Development: Budget for training and conferences.
  • Social Culture: Monthly social events.
  • Future Benefits: Pension and healthcare.

We support career development through external training, coaching, and internal opportunities, fostering an inclusive, dynamic environment where everyone can thrive.

CACI is an equal opportunities employer committed to diversity and inclusion. We provide reasonable adjustments during recruitment and welcome applicants with health conditions or disabilities.
