Job summary

Prodrive is seeking a Finance Assistant to provide essential finance support within its Brand business, ensuring month-end integrity and compliance with policies. You will help manage AP functions, supplier payments, invoicing, and bank reconciliations while supporting management with timely financial reporting and ad hoc tasks.

The role requires AAT qualification (or part-qualified) and strong Excel skills, with experience using an integrated accounting system.

• Proficient with an integrated accounting system and MS Excel.

Responsibilities

• Assist AP including supplier set-ups, matching invoices with POs and posting in IFS.
• Coordinate weekly supplier payments and reconcile factory payments.
• Support Sales with orders, issue invoices and credit notes promptly.
• Review credit risk on new accounts and monitor aged debt.
• Perform daily bank reconciliations and inter-company cross charging.

Our Brand& business has 20 years' experience in creating merchandise collections for clients from all sectors. We offer an end-to-end service from design, production and quality control, through to supporting sales and marketing activity and distributing collections worldwide. We are looking for a Finance Assistant to provide finance support within Prodrive’s Brand& business. In this position you will provide financial integrity to the month-end process, review and ensure compliance with all Prodrive finance policies and meet all financial reporting deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the AP function, including the set-up of new supplier accounts and ensuring that all invoices are matched with POs and entered on IFS in an accurate and timely manner.
• Co-ordinate weekly supplier payments, including liaising with the Production Department for any urgent payment requirements and reconciling the factory payments.
• Support the Sales Department with customer orders, ensuring all invoices and credit notes are raised in an accurate and timely manner.
• Responsible for assessing the credit risk on new accounts, collecting overdue debt and providing regular aged debtor analyses.
• Assist the daily bank reconciliation, allocating payments and receipts.
• Weekly and monthly reconciliation of the Invoice Financing function.
• Assist and maintain the petty cash, out of pocket and credit card expense process in line with company policy ensuring validity and authorisation.
• Update and maintain the Fixed Asset Register including additions and disposals and reconciling assets and depreciation to the general ledger.
• Produce quarterly royalty reports for external clients.
• Create and post journals – accruals, prepayments and general journals.
• Reconciling of all balance sheet accounts.
• Reconcile inter-company cross charging.
• Prepare the intrastat and help with VAT queries, with the progression of completing the monthly Polish VAT returns.
• Provide accurate and timely financial information to support finance and management teams.
• Assist with the audit preparation.
• Ad hoc finance support.

Who are we looking for?

Our ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar role within a fast-paced environment. You will be AAT qualified (or part qualified) and be competent with using a fully integrated accounting system as well as Microsoft packages including Excel. You will be a self-starter and be motivated to work efficiently to specific deadlines and deliverables.
