Job summary

Apollo Research in London seeks its second full-time Finance hire to own financial operations, accounting, reporting, and compliance. You will partner with the Head of Finance to build a scalable finance function from first principles, leveraging AI agents and clean architecture to automate manual work.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with at least two years post-qualification experience in a UK company.
• Experience running month-end closes end-to-end and producing multi-dimensional management accounts.
• Intercompany accounting experience and UK statutory reporting familiarity.
• Hands-on with AI tooling and automation in finance functions.
• Ability to design scalable finance processes and maintain robust controls.

Responsibilities

• Run day-to-day financial operations (O2C and P2P) and onboard customers/suppliers.
• Perform monthly close, journal entries, and reconciliations with management reporting.
• Produce a monthly pack aligned to ledger and business operations.
• Deliver weekly 13-week cash forecast and scenario planning.
• Help build systems, processes, and controls using AI and automation.
• Ensure compliance across jurisdictions and coordination with advisors.
