Job summary

Bruntwood is seeking an Apprentice in the Accounts Payable team, based at our head office in Manchester City Centre (Union on Albert Square). The Level 2 Accounts or Finance Assistant role runs over about 18 months and combines studying with hands-on work in a practical finance environment.

You will study AAT Level 2 with an external provider, with 6 hours of study each week, while you gain experience processing invoices, PO matching, supplier queries and reconciliations under the support of our

Qualifications

• Maths at level 5 or equivalent.
• Good written and verbal communication.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• IT skills including Word and Excel.
• Willing to work four days in Union office.
• Able to learn and develop in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Processing high volume invoices in the invoice/PO matching system.
• Chasing users to Goods receipt Purchase Orders and resolve queries.
• Distribution of daily post across the Accounts Payable Team.
• Scanning of invoices into the invoice processing tool.
• Ensuring invoices are approved on a timely basis.
• Supplier statement reconciliation.
• Dealing with supplier and internal queries.
• Reviewing and reconciling invoices & PO discrepancies.
• Assisting with other accounts payable duties as required.
