Job summary

Cummins Inc. in Darlington, UK is looking for an enthusiastic Finance apprentice to join our Global Center of Accounts. You will learn how a major global organization operates and gain the tools and exposure needed to become an expert in accounting and finance.

The apprenticeship runs five days per week with one study day at Darlington College. Hours are 8:30am–4:30pm, with three office days, one home day and one study day.

Qualifications

• Must have AAT Level 2 or A Level in Accounting/Finance
• GCSE Maths and English at grade C/4 or above with 3 other subjects
• Proficient IT and MS Office skills (including Excel) are essential
• Good organisational and excellent communication skills

Responsibilities

• Compiles, consolidates, and analyses accounting and finance information.
• Assists with the production of monthly and annual financial statements and reports.
• Makes accounting adjustments through journal entries.
• Assists with monthly and annual account reconciliations and close activities.
• Prepares tables, charts, and exhibits for reports.
• May participate in less complex accounting projects as a team member
