Job summary

UKRI at the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology (LMB) in Cambridge invites applications for a fixed-term Apprenticeship role (14 months). You will provide accounting support, process invoices in Oracle Fusion, assist with budgets, and study for the Level 2 AAT Accounting Apprenticeship with First Intuition Cambridge.

You will undertake on-the-job training, attend training sessions, and gain qualifications including AAT Level 2, IC Bookkeeping Level 2, and ICIB Level 2 Certificate in Accounting

Qualifications

• GCSE standard with English & Maths at grade 9–4 or equivalent
• Desirable: A level standard
• Experience in office/admin environment and timely handling of queries
• Experience using IT software, especially Excel and databases

Responsibilities

• Process purchase invoices and prepare input documents for multiple cost centres
• Prepare month-end journals and assist accruals/prepayments
• Assist with annual budgets and forecasting data
• Provide general finance team support and maintain documentation and filing
