Kirklees Metropolitan Council is recruiting an Apprentice Finance Clerk to support administrative, technical and financial accounting tasks across the organisation, with focus on Homes and Neighbourhoods. This three-year training programme starts with NVQ Level 2 and leads to an AAT qualification.

We are recruiting to a finance apprentice role within the council. If you are aged 16 and over you can apply for an apprenticeship with us. Please read the eligibility criteria.

Working closely with finance colleagues, you will provide administrative, technical and financial accounting support across the organisation, specifically working on the Homes and Neighbourhoods area, which manages the Councils housing stock including repairs and maintenance works across Kirklees. You will have the opportunity to gain a professional accounting technician qualification through the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT).

You will work as a Finance Clerk Apprentice. You will be required to complete a 3-year training programme that will cover all aspects of the role and will be delivered through attendance at college or through other distance learning methods. You will complete an Assistant Accountant apprenticeship starting at NVQ level 2 and you will gain an Association of Accounting Technician qualification.
