ABP UK is offering a Finance Apprenticeship in Yetminster, working 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday. You will join the finance team to deliver timely information and support the business needs while pursuing a Level 3 AAT qualification.

The programme focuses on developing financial reporting, data consolidation, and process improvements, with opportunities to advance within ABP UK and the wider group.

Qualifications

• GCSE with English and Maths is required.
• Strong oral and written communication essential.

• Computer literacy and attention to detail for finance tasks.

Responsabilités

• Assist consolidation & analysis of financial reporting (daily/weekly/monthly).
• Maintain Purchase Ledger and Sales Ledger records.

Role Definition

You will be working as part of the finance team to ensure the needs of the business are met by delivering information in a timely and effective manner. You will be part of a fast paced, proactive team liaising with both managers at site level and at our Head Office to ensure all deadlines are met as well as improving efficiency and developing current processes. Alongside completing your role, you'll work towards completing your Level 3 AAT qualification which will help to give you the key knowledge, as well as developing the skills required.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the consolidation & analysis of daily/weekly/monthly financial reporting including control account reconciliations within agreed timescales for submission
• Maintain financial and accounting records including the timely collation of data relating to Purchase Ledger and Sales Ledger. This may include unexpected requests, due to tight timescales
• Assist in the preparation of KPI information on a weekly basis and ensure this is communicated to the relevant stakeholders
• Assist in the production of and provide accurate information and reports to managers as and when required
• Build a close working relationship with the other members of the finance team and acquire a working knowledge of their roles
• Understand and support other roles in the department, purchase/sales ledger and payroll
• Assist in the identification and implementation of process improvements to enhance the finance function

Knowledge/Skills/Qualifications

• Completion of GCSE, A-Level or T-Level studies, preferably with a math's bias
• A minimum of GCSE in English (Grade 4/C) and Math's (Grade 5/B) or above
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to take direction
• Ability to challenge others in a professional and constructive manner
• Self-motivated with a positive outlook
• Focus on attention to detail and maintaining high standards
• Computer literate including Microsoft Excel
• Must be 18 years old or over
