Job Description

Aramark UK on behalf of Sussex County Cricket Club, the world’s oldest professional sports club, is looking for a seasoned, decisive and commercial Finance and Events Coordinator. The successful individual will play a key role in supporting the financial administration and event coordination for the catering operations at Sussex Cricket Club. This position combines strong financial acumen with excellent organisational skills to ensure smooth delivery of catering services during match days, corporate events, and private functions.

Our historic venue hosts thrilling cricket matches, including T20 clashes and County Championship fixtures, as well as large-scale concerts and corporate events. From serving matchday crowds to providing VIP hospitality, this is a chance to be part of an exciting and fast-paced environment.

This is a permanent role which will involve working weekdays and weekends.

A day in the life of a Finance and Events Coordinator :
  • Process and reconcile invoices, purchase orders, and supplier payments.
  • Maintain accurate financial records for catering operations, including revenue tracking and cost control.
  • Assist with monthly financial reporting and budget monitoring.
  • Support payroll administration for casual event staff.
  • Ensure compliance with company financial policies and procedures.
  • Liaise with clients, internal teams, and suppliers to ensure seamless event delivery.
  • Coordinate catering requirements for match days, conferences, and private events.
  • Oversee staffing schedules and provide on-site support during major events to maintain service standards.
You’ll be set up for success if you have :
  • Previous experience in finance administration or event coordination (hospitality or catering sector preferred)
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities during busy event periods
  • Strong team player with a customer-focused approach
  • Flexible and willing to work evenings and weekends during events
