Job description

FRS is recruiting a Finance & Compliance Manager for a charitable organisation based in Coventry.

The organisation offers a salary of up to £38,000, including hybrid working (2 days per week working from home). Benefits include an 8% pension scheme, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, a fantastic working environment, health & wellbeing support schemes, virtual GP access, and more.

Ideal candidates will have previous experience working for a charity, with duties such as processing gift aid, charity VAT, memberships, and other charitable income.

Key Duties:
  1. Providing timely, accurate, and relevant financial information to support planning and performance across services.
  2. Leading month-end processes, including reviewing and posting journals, managing purchase and sales ledgers, adjustments, and balance sheet reconciliations to ensure timely reports.
  3. Producing the monthly management accounts pack, including P&L, cash flow, balance sheet, and other reports with analysis and comments.
  4. Managing relationships with external auditors, banks, pension providers, payroll partners, and insurers.
  5. Assisting in internal assurance and governance processes, including internal audits and compliance testing.
  6. Working closely with the Director of Finance and Corporate Resources to ensure compliance with regulations such as data protection, health and safety, and fundraising standards.
