Job summary

Sandringham Primary School is part of Exceed Learning Partnership, seeking a Finance and Administration Assistant to join the busy school office. You will handle financial processing, assist with budgeting, greet visitors, and manage payments and communications.

The role supports the Academy Business Manager within a 30-hour term-time week plus 5 additional days, with DBS checks required and a focus on accurate financial workflows.

Qualifications

  • Experience with day-to-day financial processing, including invoices and purchase orders.
  • Ability to monitor budgets and prepare concise reports.
  • Strong front-desk customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Handle day-to-day financial processing (invoices, purchase orders, bank reconciliations).
  • Assist the Academy Business Manager in monitoring the annual budget and reporting.
  • Greet visitors and be a calm, helpful point of contact for parents and pupils.
  • Manage income & wraparound care fees, school trip payments, and dinner money.
  • Maintain a clear workflow trail for year-end returns and audits.
  • Manage the school email account and answer phone calls from parents.

Sandringham Primary School is part of Exceed Learning Partnership, a Multi Academy Trust that currently comprises of 10 Academies, Bentley High Street Primary School, Carr Lodge Academy, Edlington Victoria Academy, Hall Cross Academy, Hill Top Academy, Rosedale Primary School, Sandringham Primary School, Sheep Dip Lane Academy, The Mallard Academy and Willow Primary School

What the job will involve:
  • Handling day-to-day financial processing, including invoices, purchase orders, and bank reconciliations.
  • Assisting the Academy Business Manager in monitoring the annual budget and preparing reports
  • Being the Face of the School: Supporting our office team, greeting visitors, and being a calm, helpful point of contact for parents and pupils.
  • Managing income &slshquot;wraparound care&slshquot; fees (after-school clubs), school trip payments, and dinner money
  • Maintaining a clear workflow trail for year-end financial returns and internal audits.
  • Managing the schools main email account, answering phone calls from parents, and dealing with the occasional &slshquot;lost jumper&slshquot; or minor playground scrape that makes its way to the office.
