Job summary

Deutsche Post DHL in Liverpool is seeking a Finance Analyst to join the RTR - Controlling team. You will perform month-end close, consolidate reporting and provide analysis to support commercial decisions within our logistics operation.

The role requires strong Excel skills, experience with GL accounting and a clear communicator who thrives in a team. You will work hybrid with a 37.5 hour week and benefit from a discretionary bonus and a competitive pension.

Qualifications

• Strong Excel is essential.
• Experience with pivot tables, VLOOKUPs and formulas.
• Clear, effective communicator.
• Ability to work well in a team.
• Experience in finance - particularly GL.
• Knowledge of financial compliance and reporting requirements.
• Experience in accounting in a logistics or similar industry – desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform controlling processes in scope for the respective site/customer like month end, reporting & analysis
• Regular engagement with site ops teams, Reporting team, BU FC's and shared services on inputs and outputs for the completion of common processes
• Build deep business knowledge for the customer/sites in scope to provide support for decision making
• Effectively maintain period end and year end closing schedules for the customer/sites in scope; adhere to finance processes and ensure timely report production at site/customer level; provide updates to the Reporting Manager
• Deliver the processes in scope to the agreed KPI requirements and support performance management
• Manage individual workflow ensuring deadlines are met
• Ad hoc tasks as required by the Controller or Manager
