Job summary

DHL is seeking a Finance Analyst to support controlling for the Liverpool site. You will perform month-end close, reporting and analysis, while collaborating with site operations, the reporting team and shared services to ensure timely and accurate financial outputs.

You will build deep business knowledge of the customer/sites in scope and maintain period end and year end schedules, contributing to KPI delivery and performance management. Hybrid working available with 37.5 hours/week.

Qualifications

• Strong Excel is essential.
• Experience with pivot tables, VLOOKUPs and formulas.
• Clear, effective communicator with good written/spoken English.
• Ability to work well in a team and collaborators with site ops/finance teams.

DHL, an award-winning, leading supply chain business is seeking a Finance Analyst to play a vital role within our Finance function, performing all accounting processes for their respective operation.

WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?

As part of your normal duties, you will be responsible for:

• Perform controlling processes in scope for the respective site/customer like month end, reporting & analysis
• Regular engagement with site ops teams, Reporting team, BU FC's and shared services on inputs and outputs for the completion of common processes
• Build deep business knowledge for the customer/sites in scope to provide support for decision making
• Effectively maintain period end and year end closing schedules for the customer/sites in scope Adherence to finance processes and accurate, timely report production at site/customer level Provide regular updates to the Reporting Manager on process completion, issue resolution and any escalations
• Deliver the processes in scope to the agreed KPI requirements and support performance management
• Manage individual workflow ensuring agreed deadlines are met
• Ad hoc tasks as required Any other purchasing or operational admin related activities as required by the Controller or Manager

WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?

• Experience in finance - particularly GL
• Knowledge of financial compliance and reporting requirements
• Experience in accounting in a logistics or similar industry - desirable
