Finance Analyst RtR - Controlling

Contract Type: 12-month Fixed Term Contract

Location: Bristol (BS35 4DF)

Grade: RCS N

Working pattern: 37.5 hours a week over 5 days, with hybrid working (3 days in the office), 25 days holiday, potential bonus

DHL, an award-winning, leading supply chain business, is seeking a Finance Analyst to play a vital role within our Finance function, performing all accounting processes for their respective operation.

Our team of Finance specialists do more than just crunch numbers; they add value by understanding data and helping teams make informed, commercial decisions.

What does the role entail?

• Perform accounting processes such as month-end closings and reconciliations for the respective site/customer.
• Engage regularly with site operations teams, Reporting team, BU FCs, and shared services to ensure smooth process completion.
• Build deep business knowledge for the customer/sites to support decision-making.
• Maintain period-end and year-end closing schedules, ensuring adherence to finance processes and timely report production. Provide updates on process completion and escalate issues as needed.
• Deliver processes to meet KPI requirements and support performance management.
• Manage workflow to meet deadlines.
• Perform ad hoc tasks and other operational activities as required by the Controller or Manager.

What do we need from you?

• Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and formulas.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to work well in a team.
• 1-2 years of finance experience.
• Customer-facing experience.
• Knowledge of financial compliance and reporting requirements.
• Experience in accounting within logistics or similar industries is desirable.
