Finance Analyst RtR - Controlling

Contract Type: 12-month Fixed Term Contract

Location: Bristol (BS35 4DF)

Grade: RCS N

Working pattern: Hybrid working - 3 days a week in the office

Hours and Benefits: 37.5 hours a week over 5 days, 25 days holiday, potential bonus

DHL, an award-winning, leading supply chain business, is seeking a Finance Analyst to play a vital role within our Finance function, performing all accounting processes for their respective operation.

Our team of Finance specialists do more than crunch numbers. They add value by understanding our data and helping our teams make informed, commercial decisions.

What does the role entail?
  • Perform accounting processes such as month-end closing and reconciliations for the respective site/customer.
  • Engage regularly with site operations teams, Reporting team, BU FCs, and shared services to ensure smooth process completion.
  • Build deep business knowledge of the customer/sites to support decision-making.
  • Maintain period-end and year-end closing schedules, ensuring adherence to finance processes, timely report production, and regular updates to the Reporting Manager.
  • Deliver processes according to KPI requirements and support performance management.
  • Manage individual workflow to meet deadlines.
  • Perform ad hoc tasks, including purchasing and operational admin activities as required by the Controller or Manager.
What do we need from you?
  • Proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, V Lookups, and formulas.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team.
  • 1-2 years of finance experience.
  • Customer-facing experience.
  • Knowledge of financial compliance and reporting.
  • Experience in accounting within logistics or similar industry is desirable.
